Mate Bioservices is a small startup spun out of UCSF. We are looking for a back-end developer to help us get off the ground! Over the next few months, we have a number of front and back-end tasks that need to be completed. As a result, this is a short term project that could lead to future collaborations or a full time position.
We have a very large heterogeneous knowledge graph. Previously, the graph has been stored on our own cluster using Neo4j Community Edition. Now we want to scale up and move our graph to AWS and use Neo4j Enterprise Edition. In the future we will have multiple platforms and APIs interacting with the graph.
For this job you will:
-Initiate scalable and cost-effective architecture on AWS.
-Load and optimize our knowledge graph
-Define user roles
-Create basic API for querying graph
Responsibilities

- Master demos of our software
Must Have
- Bachelor Degree or Higher
- Passion for software products
- Perfect written English
- Highly creative and autonomous
- Valid work permit for Belgium

- Experience in writing online content
- Additional languages
- Google Adwords experience
- Strong analytical skills
